Managed security, for Australian businesses anywhere in the country

Ferres Systems manages the security of your business, alongside your IT person or provider. A standard helpdesk is the one thing we do not run, though specific IT work is still worth asking about, as we scope and price plenty of it. It is a national service that happens to be based in Melbourne, Victoria. Your data stays in Australia, and the team watching it works Australian hours. Managed security clients get the same named responder on every confirmed incident, and the same 30-minute commitment on a priority one, whether they are in Carlton or Karratha, and on-site work in other states is arranged and scoped, with travel priced up front.

// HOW IT WORKS NATIONALLY

Distance stopped being the problem a while ago

What works the same wherever you are, and the one part that does not.

01

Monitoring does not care where you are

Detection and triage run against your endpoints and your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace identities, wherever those endpoints happen to be. A laptop in Perth and a laptop two suburbs from us report into exactly the same place, and get exactly the same response.

02

The same response commitment in every state

Managed security clients get a named Ferres Systems responder on every confirmed incident, who owns it end to end. On a priority one it is handled within 30 minutes of triage confirming it, at any hour, and containment starts promptly. How long containment takes depends on the incident, the access available and the systems affected. None of that changes because you are in Brisbane.

03

Interstate on-site work is arranged and scoped

The team has one base, in Victoria. When work outside Victoria needs someone on site, such as a cutover, physical decommissioning, network and infrastructure work, staff training or a board or insurer conversation, it is arranged with you: the dates, who attends and the travel cost go into the written scope before you agree to anything. Enough notice lets travel be booked at a sensible cost.

04

One team, one timezone, business hours that overlap

Everyone who touches your environment works from Australia on Australian hours, with the after-hours cover run by the same team rather than handed to an overseas desk at 6pm. Your morning is our morning.

// WHERE WE WORK

Every state and territory

The national questions

We work nationally. Monitoring, triage, incident response, cloud work, assessments and GRC are delivered remotely and work the same way wherever you are. When a job needs someone on site in another state, it is arranged and scoped with you, and the travel goes into the scope with a number against it.

On-site work outside Victoria can be arranged. Some clients never need it because everything they run is in the cloud. Others want someone on site for a cutover, a decommissioning, staff training or a board conversation. Each visit is agreed and scoped first, covering dates, who attends and the travel cost, and it depends on availability, so enough notice helps keep the travel cost down.

Your data stays in Australia. Client data is held inside Australian infrastructure for the whole engagement, and that is not something we vary by client or by state.

Triage runs around the clock. Managed security clients get a named Ferres Systems responder on every confirmed incident, who owns it end to end, and on a priority one it is handled within 30 minutes of triage confirming it, at any hour, with containment starting promptly. How long containment takes depends on the incident, the access available and the systems affected. The commitment covers confirmed priority-one incidents for managed security clients, not every support request. The managed security page walks through a night on the service.

No. Plenty of clients keep their existing day-to-day IT arrangements and put Ferres Systems behind them for security specifically. We are also happy to carry both. Neither is the upsell: they are different problems and you should buy the one you have.

Two ways. The Exposure Check is free, needs a work email at your domain, and looks at what your domain shows the internet. The Security Baseline Assessment is a fixed-price $495 + GST read-only look inside your Microsoft 365 and Entra environment. Most businesses should do them in that order.

Wherever you are, the answer comes from here.
